Best service I've ever had. My car has never ran better. "Auto Reiki" they jokingly threw out there as a reason for why ever aspect of my car was running better, even though I just brought it in for one simple thing. Thanks for everything Granite Alley!

Excellent service at a fair price

I was on my way from Los Angeles to Prescott to visit a friend. At about 2am and an hour to my destination, my car decided to overheat. I managed to nurse it through the hour long drive to Granite Alley Garage, and I feel so lucky about having landed there. Kevin, his wife, and Ron (I hope I'm remembering his name correctly) were extremely friendly, thorough, and honest. They repaired the broken parts of my car (water pump and timing belt tensioner), and gave me a list of other things that might soon need repair, as time and money allowed. I highly recommend them for honest, friendly, and reliable service.

We've recently taken two of our vehicles to Granite Alley Garage for major service, and I've been extremely pleased with the quality of their work and their customer service. Kevin, the owner, is very personable. He takes time to answer questions and explain the work that's been completed, and provides updates regarding what's been found and the progress of the work. Even more importantly, Kevin impresses me as a man of integrity, which makes the normally painful experience of getting car work done down-right tolerable. :-)

Kevin and his wife are fantastic. I was employed through the Prescott College CSA (community supported agriculture) share when I was having car trouble and I found out that one of our members--Kevin--was a mechanic. The woman who runs the CSA uses Kevin and I trust her and--maybe it sounds silly--I trust folks willing to support local, sustainably grown food. As a mechanic, Kevin took the time to not only explain what needed to be done, but would show me the car parts. His rates are fair and reasonable and he is open, honest and willing to answer any questions. I also love mechanics that prioritize what needs to be done NOW and what needs to be done in the future, so going to the mechanic isn't financially devastating. Aaaaand, the shop and the main office are really clean. These are good folks doing good, honest work. Cannot recommend this shop any more highly.
